My students are incredibly intelligent! I have 34 seventh graders and 31 ninth graders. I have students, from both classes, that are still on a third grade reading level. They are full of life and have the best personality. I would do anything to provide them with the best education possible.
I love that my students can pass on a good deed.
We read an article about 'paying it forward' our first week of school. Students shared good deeds that they could do that costs nothing. They created so many options for those who couldn't afford to literally pay it forward! Their thoughtfulness has inspired me to create this project.
Since we are a 1A school, we have a limited library from which students have read most of the books already. I have students on various reading levels from 3rd to 12 grade. That is the reason I picked books on a wide range of reading levels. I have also chose books that are diverse in culture such as The House on Mango Street, The Hate U Give, etc.
I am so blessed to say that I have a classroom full of avid readers that are constantly buzzing around my shelves, but we’re running out of options fast!
Please consider helping supply our classroom with excitement and adventure!
