This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are always excited to read a good book. I am hoping that the novels that I have selected will help my students understand others experiences growing up in the United States. These books will be used as supplements to the current curriculum which lacks text that my students can connect with.
It's important for students to see themselves represented in the books that they read.
These novel will give them that representation. I'm also hoping that these novels will get my reluctant readers to engage in reading but most importantly in the discussion of the books.
