My Project
One of my goals as a teacher this year is to get students talking about books without me to guide them. I believe if students are able to lead and direct their own novel study groups by the end of the year, then we have really mastered what we set out to do - create lifelong readers. In order to do this, however, I need to continue to beef up my classroom library, and that means purchasing some duplicate copies to ensure I have enough to go around.
Having enough copies of the fiction and nonfiction novels desired to run these independent groups will be crucial for student interest. Thank you for your help with this project and for being apart of shaping the literacy of the future!
