Fourth Grade is when students are more comfortable reading and are beginning to read more for pleasure and enjoyment.
To encompass NYS reading standards, social-emotional learning, and reading enjoyment we have decided to do novel studies in fourth grade.
These novel studies will each last about a month, giving us the opportunity to really dive deep into these books! We are so excited to share this with our students! This specific novel study will correspond with our ELA unit on exploration and will also integrate some NYS social studies standards.
