My Project
I am the librarian at a campus library, which serves 5 high schools in the Bronx. Students often ask me for snacks because they come to the library during their lunch period.
I always try to have snacks for my library volunteers, but often have other students ask for snacks as well.
I hate telling a student no, especially if it seems they are really hungry and don't have the means to get snacks on their own.
I love being able to provide snacks to students, but I often don't have the money to keep the snacks stocked even for the volunteers doing community service in the library. I would love help to provide my students with nourishment. I'm also asking for some coloring books and fun stickers. Even though students are in high school they love stickers. The adult coloring books are relaxing for students and I always have printed pages for students to color while they are taking their lunch break.
