This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To create a supportive and engaging environment in our PE classroom, a few additional supplies would enhance our ability to promote students' physical and mental well-being. Nutrition posters would also be valuable, serving as visual aids that reinforce lessons on healthy eating and provide students with important information on balanced diets, hydration, and the impact of nutrition on physical performance. By seeing these reminders daily, students may feel encouraged to make healthier choices both in and outside of class. Additionally, posters on the effects of vaping could offer essential information on the health risks associated with vaping, helping raise awareness and sparking critical conversations around substance use and health as we have seen increased use on our campus.

A phone storage unit would allow students to securely store their devices at the start of class, helping to reduce distractions and nourish a more focused environment.

By minimizing interruptions, students could fully engage in physical activities and participate in meaningful discussions on health and wellness. This simple addition would contribute significantly to creating a space where students can be present and attentive.

Finally, adding fun LED lights to the classroom would create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, boosting students' motivation and making the space more engaging. Together, these supplies would support a holistic approach to health education, transforming our PE classroom into an interactive, focused, and health-centered space that fosters students' well-being and success.
