My Project
Having snacks available for kindergarten newcomer students can greatly support their learning and adjustment to the school environment in several ways. Firstly, snacks provide essential nourishment that helps sustain their energy levels throughout the day, enabling them to focus and participate actively in classroom activities. For many newcomer students who may come from diverse cultural backgrounds, having familiar and comforting snacks can create a sense of security and familiarity in an unfamiliar setting, helping to ease any feelings of homesickness or anxiety. Moreover, sharing snacks can foster social interaction and communication among students, encouraging them to bond with their peers and develop friendships. Additionally, it's important to recognize that many newcomer students may have less access to food and are often hungry. Providing snacks ensures that all students have their basic needs met, promoting equity and inclusivity in our classroom environment. By ensuring that snacks are readily available, we can create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
