This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator deeply invested in my students' holistic growth, I am reaching out to you to support our classroom project aimed at enhancing both their nutritional needs and financial literacy skills. By requesting specific items such as a variety of snacks for our community classroom store, including candies, puddings, cereals, and crackers, I aim to provide my dual language 4th graders with a hands-on learning experience. These snacks will not only satisfy their hunger but also serve as tangible tools for understanding financial concepts like budgeting, pricing, and inventory management.

My goals for this project are twofold: to ensure my students have access to nutritious snacks while simultaneously equipping them with essential financial literacy skills.

By managing our classroom store, they will learn practical lessons in entrepreneurship, decision-making, and responsibility. What makes my students special is their diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives, which enrich our classroom community. Your contribution to this project will not only nourish their bodies but also nourish their minds, empowering them to become savvy consumers and thoughtful decision-makers in the future.
