My Students

I am a proud educator in a very low income school district. Some of the students are faced with many challenges in and outside of the classroom. There are some students in my class that face learning disabilities and don't necessarily learn as fast or are even on level as they should and these disadvantages are keeping them from getting ahead. Every moment of the day I'm thinking of new ways to keep them focused and engaged. I am very hopeful that they will join the others on the road to academic success!

My Project

I am requesting snacks and hygiene products for my students over the holidays. I would like for them to be able to take small care packages home while we are out for thanksgiving and Christmas break! They all are from very low income backgrounds and parents don't have the money to get hygiene products to keep them clean nor can they afford food/snacks to keep their hunger satisfied! I'm also requesting underwear and socks so they won't come to school wearing the same ones all week. With the care packages being sent home it will be little worry for the Parents!
