Nourish to Flourish Classroom Pantry

Help me give my students access to food, hygiene items, and tissues through a classroom pantry that supports their basic needs and helps them focus on what’s important.

My Project

The supplies I am requesting already have a home in our classroom, and they will become part of a dedicated pantry space that students can access as needed. Many of my students are refugees or English Learners who are adjusting to a new country, language, and school system, all while managing the challenges that come with displacement, housing insecurity, or limited access to basic necessities. The snacks will provide fuel for students who come to school hungry, helping them stay alert and focused throughout the day. Hygiene items like feminine products will be stored in discreet bins so students can take what they need without feeling embarrassed or singled out. Tissues, hand sanitizer, and other comfort items will help students feel cared for and respected in a clean, welcoming environment.

The donations to this project will help foster dignity, trust, and a sense of belonging, critical foundations for learning.

By removing small but meaningful barriers, this classroom pantry will help students focus on their growth, language acquisition, and academic success. I believe every student deserves to feel safe and supported before they are expected to succeed, and with your help, this pantry will be one step closer to making that belief a reality.
