Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Middle school is a time of major physical and emotional changes, and access to basic personal care items is essential for a student’s self-esteem, dignity, and focus. For families struggling to make ends meet, expensive personal care items often have to take a backseat to immediate necessities like rent and groceries.

This project will establish a discreet, fully stocked Classroom Hygiene Station accessible to all of my 6th graders.

By providing daily essentials—such as deodorant, dental hygiene items, body wipes, gentle soaps, menstrual products, and lotion—we can eliminate the anxiety and embarrassment that often comes with not having access to these supplies at home.

When students feel clean, confident, and cared for, they can fully engage in lab experiments, group work, and classroom discussions without distraction or self-consciousness. Your support will directly help provide a compassionate safety net, ensuring my students feel dignified, valued, and ready to succeed every time they step through my doorway.
