Nourish, Decorate, Educate: Essentials for a Thriving Classroom

My Project

A new school year means a fresh start, new goals, and new opportunities to help my students thrive. With your support, I hope to create a classroom that is welcoming, well-stocked, and ready for a year of growth, learning, and creativity.

This project includes a variety of items to meet my students’ academic and emotional needs.

To keep them energized and focused throughout the day, I’ve included healthy snacks like GoGo squeeZ applesauce, fruit bars, animal crackers, cheese puffs, popcorn, peanut butter crackers, beef jerky, and fruit snacks. These snack options make a big difference, especially for students who may come to school without enough to eat.

I’ve also selected school supplies that will keep our classroom running smoothly: highlighters, Scotch tape, a set of student headphones, and a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers to help me purchase high-quality instructional resources all year long. These tools will support daily learning and classroom organization.

To make our classroom inviting and inspiring, I’ve included bulletin board paper, borders, and seasonal decorations. These items help me transform our space throughout the year to reflect student work, classroom goals, and the changing seasons- bringing warmth, color, and excitement into the room. A non-slip classroom rug adds an extra touch of comfort and defines our classroom library space.

Additionally, I’ve chosen a few meaningful picture books like Ohana Means Family, The Name Jar, and Dear Teacher to support discussions about identity, inclusion, and the excitement (and nerves!) of starting a new school year.
