Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have an energetic group of 5 year old kindergarten students that come ready to learn, teach and grow every day! They are so excited to come into the school building and classroom. It is often hard to come up with new and engaging ideas to keep their mind growing as fast as they are growing.

I see our future in their eyes every day, and I love the promising way it looks!

As the children leave the school, the happiness is still with them. They carry this joy and they strive to share it wherever they go. They deserve the best materials and learning environment that I can offer.

My Project

As the world of technology is invading the lives of our children, the secret to surviving is to embrace it. These Botley coding kits will allow the student not only to learn how to code and practice the coding skills, but they will also supplement the skills in all subject areas. The students would work in small groups at a "Secret Code" station on coding challenges and projects. These projects are the perfect addition to our current STEM activities.

The higher level thinking skills that these kits will promote is a much-needed skill in my children.

The Robot provides a fun way to learn and develop.
