My kindergarten students are a diverse group of five and six year old learners with mixed abilities, interests and experiences. They enjoy having opportunities for movement and given choices during the day. In my classroom, the students are learning letter names, sounds, counting skills and how to write. They enjoy getting their bodies moving while learning these new skills.
My class is a mix of students with many levels of abilities.
Some of my students have special needs, and some students are already able to read. I make sure that I work with each group of students so their needs are met. My students are eager, friendly, and love to learn. Because this is their first year of school, I work hard to show them how wonderful learning at school can be.
My Project
My students are smart and energetic, they need a seat that is comfortable, different, and colorful. Regular school chairs are not comfortable and it keeps them out of their seat and wanting to walk around the classroom. These Flex-Space Comfy chairs will give students a chance to sit low to the ground and relax while learning letters, sounds, reading or writing stories. New seating options will help my students embrace their seats, and have options to choose from. I have requested multiple flex-space comfy floor seats so my students can enjoy learning anywhere in the classroom. I envision seeing a group of students on their flex-space comfy chairs engaged in a good book with smiles on their faces.
It is very important for Kindergarten children to have a fun and comfortable place to sit that is perfect for them in the classroom!
These chairs are simple but an effective tool that will provide the children with space to grow and develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Your help donating to this project would mean so much to my kindergartners, this year and in future years too.
