Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach 4 classes of energetic 6th graders. Coming into middle school, they were eager to start science class. We have spent this school year taking notes, conducing labs and observing demonstrating that we document in our interactive notebooks. As the year has gone by, we have used all our supplies. My students are in need of fresh materials at each of their desks!

The materials I’m requesting consists of long baskets that will be used to hold the glue sticks, pencils, and scissors.

Having these materials right at their desks will decrease the amount of time we have to spend passing materials out or borrowing from a neighbor.
