Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a third grade teacher in a needy public school. As you may know, students need some basic supplies in the classroom that are not provided by the school. These supplies include notebooks, pencils and other materials. Most of my students didn't bring the supplies that I requested of them and my guess was what that they parents didn't have the money to buy them. I always have some of these supplies and I give them to the kids that don't bring any. Well this year, I ran out of supplies quicker than other years. My students are telling me about their finished notebooks or asking for pencils every day. I try to give them what I can since I don't receive any contributions from anyone else. Sometimes what I have is not enough for all of them. I would like to be able to give at least some pencils and notebooks when they ask me for. They are trying their best to be successful in school but they need the necessary tools to accomplish this. I am pleading to a kind heart to help me provide these important supplies for my students. I know that they and I will be very grateful for any contributions given to us. Thank you for helping us.
