My Project
Our students have limited access to technology and resources to enhance their learning outside the classroom. For our students, note-taking plays a major role because they learn most of the concepts for the first time. They are often required to make sense of the content after class.
However, note-taking is not so simple, it requires a whole range of skills that include listening, paying attention, identifying the important concepts, listing new vocabulary, organizing the notes, keeping consistency, and making it organized.
In reality, note-taking is often limited to writing down the definitions, theorems, and proofs that teachers write down on the whiteboards.
The materials such as mini whiteboards will provide opportunities for them to solve problems on their own, allowing them to make mistakes, and correct their misconceptions. This will change the way how students take notes. Note-taking skills become more important when they go on to college where the instructions are lecture-based. By developing note-taking skills, our students will be equipped to learn math on their own.
