My Students

Do you remember asking your math teacher "When will we ever use this?!" My students come to class prepared to challenge their minds, learn from their mistakes, and persevere even if they get frustrated. My students have embraced the fact that they need math to make sense of the world around them and to become great problem solvers.

Many of my students have told me they never liked math before but now they do!

They are technologically savvy and I believe with more ways to learn math they'll not only become great problem solvers, but they'll change the world!

My Project

Math class tends to get a negative response from most students, however, I have found that making math relevant and engaging helps struggling students and many of those who "hate" math. With the addition of escape room style lessons and examples of math used outside of the classroom in a variety of careers, I'll have the opportunity to present math in a fun and engaging way.

My students are inquisitive and deserve engaging and challenging lessons.

The products I have selected provide a fun way to introduce and apply the mathematical concepts while also giving real-world applications. I would have loved to have had more ways to learn math when I was in high school and this is a way I can give that to my students!
