Hello and welcome to Ms. VanGorden's Donors Choose Page! Thank you for your interest and support! I am a math teacher at a charter school in Detroit called WAY Academy West. My students are some of the most resilient, energetic, and unique students you'll ever meet. Despite the struggles they face living in rough neighborhoods littered with drug and gang activity they rise above and find solace at school. They continue to impress me with their knowledge of the real world and are much more adept at their age than I ever was. They deserve the best education out there and if I could give them the world, I would. Simply put, they inspire me and I believe if you knew them they'd inspire you too!
