Not Without a Paddle-Ping Pong for PE

My Students

Our school only consists of 7th and 8th-grade students. We are a rural community that cares for every student on a personal basis. Our hope is to know every student by name and help them achieve greatness. As teachers, we look for ways to give our students experiences they normally wouldn't receive as many of our students have not been outside our rural area. Our students need these experiences to help shape them for the future.

My Project

Almost everyone was impacted by COVID-19, including our students. Many of the connections between each other were lost and the social interactions were put on hold due to all the restrictions. Ping Pong not only provides a unique experience for our 7th and 8th-grade students in PE, but it deepens the social connections to a higher level. We hope to bridge these connections and help our students heal. Ping pong has a way of relaxing students and also enhances hand-eye coordination killing two birds with one stone. All students in our school will have an opportunity to participate in this activity.
