My students are awesome! They love to learn and work hard. Quite a few of these students come from poverty-stricken homes and yet still persevere through their challenges and strive to be the best students they can be. I teach three classrooms of 7th grade math students with varying learning abilities and ethnic backgrounds, who have a love for all things technology. I'm pretty sure that they know way more about all things technology than I do. Anything to do with technology-based learning really motivates my students and their willingness to work hard and enhances their excitement about learning.
My Project
I plan to use the Apple iPad to enhance the learning experience of my students who are at home (virtually) and traditional in-class students. Due to teaching both (virtual and in-person) simultaneously, I feel that the iPad will equip me better as a teacher to integrate the most effective technology possible in order to give my students the highest learning experiences needed to ensure that they learn the concepts of 7th grade math this year.
With this year being a very new and trying experience as a teacher, I have had to modify the way I teach math in ways I never really thought about.
Technology has become the main focus of how I am able to teach both virtually and traditionally and I feel that the iPad will be a wonderful tool that will make my teaching more efficient and their learning the most productive.
