This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are incredible! They are kind, and hard working, but don't always have access to everything they need to succeed. Can you imagine going into your reading classroom and all the books are old and falling apart?
Help me create a library that my students can go to and "take out" books they can enjoy in class.
Books that are new, exciting, and just for them. I want them to find that one book that will get them excited to read, so they can then find another, and another.
We all can recall what it was like to be forced to read something you didn't enjoy. You never loved reading until you found that one book. Let me help them find theirs!
