This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My creative and very artistic students would like to embark on a Not a Box art project, inspired by the book, "Not A Box", by Antoinette Portis. This project is designed to foster their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills.

Students will unleash their imaginations and create something truly unique, using a variety of materials such as paint sticks, foam shapes, tape, and more.

It will be exciting to see what ideas they can develop, such as a guitar, cars, planes, animals, boats, and more. I have done this project with my students in past years and it has been one of their favorite activities. We are very excited to do it again this year.
