My Project
Our high schoolers tend to come to school without eating breakfast, items like breakfast snacks will help satisfy their hunger so that they can fully engage in learning. Students this age seem to always be hungry, so items like snacks and noodles will be a great motivator for students to stay on task and participate in class discussions and activities.
Students need a safe place to gather and eat. Our classroom has always been that for many of our students. So much so, many of our former students still hang out in our classroom during recess and lunch. Sometimes students don't bring school lunch or hasn't had the opportunity to load their lunch money to their IDs so having a supply of cup noodles with a water heater for those students to satisfy their hunger and hang out in a safe and welcoming environment.
This classroom project was brought to life by Hawai'i State Dept. of Ed and Marc & Lynne Benioff.
