Help me give my students nonfiction books that are appropriate for their age.
This project expired on January 2, 2020.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach kindergarten students that come from a diverse background. I work in a magnet school so my students come from urban and suburban homes.
Although they are all coming from a variety of backgrounds, they all come to school eager to learn and explore all that they can together.
My goal, as their teacher, is to help them learn and grow as much as they can and to prepare them for the real world by teaching them the skills they will need to be successful students throughout their education.
My students love to read. I want to give my students a variety of nonfiction books that will spark their interest in lots of topics that are of interest to kindergartners.
The National Geographic and the DK readers level one and two will be a perfect addition to our classroom library.
All of these books will be added to our classroom library. My students will be able to read from these books every day when they visit our library daily. My hope is to develop readers that love all books including nonfiction books. These books will be loved and read by my kindergartners.
