My students need a leveled library to explore nonfiction topics at their reading levels.
This project expired on February 17, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Have you every met a curious student? Well I have a whole classroom of boys and girls that crave more knowledge of their world.
My students are special education K-5 students.
These kiddos love bugs, nature and things that apply to them. My school is located in a lower income area in Idaho. They are all hard workers and try to do their best in spite of their challenges in academics. They would love the opportunity to read about the world around them and feel successful by reading at their levels.
With a leveled library of nonfiction books, my students will be able to open an area of interest in reading and learning about the world around them. I have many boys in my classroom and they are curious about the world around them. These books could spark the interest in them to pursue these areas in more depth.
This project is important because my students struggle to read.
Having books they can be successful with in class will encourage them to find other books they can read and expand their knowledge.
