This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Following what the students need and crave, they love nonfiction books. The real world pictures and the information that they can learn is valuable for all aspects of learning.
Nonfiction text are critical for all students. Students need to have an understanding of what is happening in the world even when they can not experience it themselves. Having the books available for use when reading and writing will enhance this experience in their learning environment. This will help when students are expected to have knowledge of a given topic but lack the ability to go to the library or the classroom that is well stocked with nonfiction books.
