Each day my students come to school excited to learn and ready to share their ideas and creativity. I am so lucky to get to work with these Kindergartners and love to watch them learn and grow throughout the year!
My Kindergarten class is filled with eager young children who love to engage in books, take on new challenges, and deepen their understanding and learning through meaningful play-based learning.
My teammates and I are devoted to learning and fun! We pride ourselves on creating learning environments that support the whole child. In each of our classrooms you will find students engaged in academics that are rooted in developmentally appropriate practices. We love to sing, dance, read, write, play....and so much more! We believe that Kindergarten is a critical time to develop not only academic skills, but also social, emotional, and problem solving skills. Our days are carefully crafted and planned to allow Kindergartners to inquire, explore, discover, and engage in their learning.
My Project
Each year we try to expand our nonfiction libraries to include diverse topics and animals for our students to explore. Over the last few years our students have expressed interest in the topics represented in the nonfiction texts selected for this project, but we don't have many books for them to explore that cover these topics.
Our Kindergartners would be so excited to add these titles to our classroom libraries so they can continue to explore some of their favorite animals!
Each year, our Kindergartners do an animal research project. These books would further support their learning and research!
Adding these books to our libraries would help foster a continued love of learning in all our Kindergartners!
