We have the luxury of interacting with one of the most diverse school districts in the nation. Advanced academics has grown and so have the drive and hunger to be college and career ready. My students strive to create innovative and groundbreaking content through Project-Based Learning and Community Outreach. We have hosted 3 consecutive Non-Profit Summits where students create their very own non-profits to help their community and/or nation. Many of the non-profits created were created to help globally as well. Having more technology would really help the students work to brand and professionally conduct business and community service.
The computers will help students to gain access to the technology needed to carry out civic projects and help their very own communities. Implementing programs to help the homeless. Treating every student as deserving of education. Helping international and global economies to see the need to assist students in their very own dreams.
Students at EHS have built their very own non-profits and have received community recognition for their civic contributions.
Architecture, environmental design, accounting, business planning, and professional writing are just a few skills taught through the use of these computers. Through graphic design and business plans, the students will be able to market and brand businesses to hopefully spark the interest of other donors and supporters.
