My students need non-fiction stories to build comprehension and foster a love of reading!

My Students

My eager 2nd graders are like little sponges soaking up all the new things around them. They have a drive for questions and knowledge that keeps me busy and looking for new ideas and concepts to teach them.

Most of my students do not have any other educational opportunities outside of school, so they come to school very eager to learn.

They appreciate anything that I do for them. They are always eager and ready to dive into whatever we're learning.

My Project

I love exploring non-fiction stories with my second graders! Non-fiction text can be fascinating, fun, and engaging for all students!

Finding the perfect story to pique my students' curiosity is something I strive to do daily!

When you support this project, you will be helping to put the magic and fun of reading right into the hands of my students!

These non-fiction texts will be used to engage my students, build comprehension and help them foster a love of reading for years to come.

My second graders are thirsty for knowledge on a daily basis. What better way to help them grow in fluency and comprehension, than by providing them with access to a wonderful, magical world of reading new non-fiction books!
