My Students

The children in my classroom are motivated to read but they enjoy books about real life.

I teach first grade in an Oklahoma A+ school that values teaching to the multiple intelligences.

The children in my classroom love to read and listen to stories. Most of our classroom library books are picture books while the children, especially the boys, enjoy reading non-fiction.

My Project

The materials I am requesting include a variety of non-fiction books that will be placed in our classroom library. The books will engage the children, especially boys, whose main interest is non-fiction text. While the children are reading the books, they will also be exposed to the information about feelings, shapes, and plant life.

"Today a reader, tomorrow a leader" said Margaret Fuller.

Your donation will motivate children to pick a book about something that is interesting to them. Reading a book that engages children will contribute to their enjoyment as readers and further their development in the process. Will you help create our future leaders?
