This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My seniors are passionate, bright and eager to achieve their goals. I see this everyday in the way they pose questions in discussion, the way they support their friends, and in the details from assignments they submit. While they are successful in school, some of them are lost in their drive for the future. They are confused on the next steps such as while college to attend and what job to apply to.

These non-fiction texts are powerful reminders that one can achieve anything they put their mind to.

These books will part of a selection of book club books that the students can choose based on their interest. They will be able to discuss and analyze the book with other students, so they get the full book club experience.
