My Project
My students need high interest books to read. Every group of students is different and this year they are interested in history and non-fiction books. They are inspired by real life events. Sometimes all it takes it a fun place to read and an enjoyable book to encourage the growth of knowledge in an area of study. I am hoping that this will fuel their research skills and promote other projects.
Along with the books my students need new stools.
My stools have slowly fallen apart, and they like to sit around a special reading table or pull a stool up to a friend. Sometimes peer encouragement is all they need to talk about literature and read together. Often times you will see my students sitting around the room reading on the floor, rug, and cushions. I think these additional items will be beneficial for my students learning.
