My students need 40 nonfiction books that are of high interest and that will get them interested in a much neglected genre.

This project is fully funded
I teach middle school reading in a public school in a large urban setting. My school is awesome! Our students come from all over the city and diversity is our greatest strength. Unfortunately, resources are extremely limited.
Funding is unavailable from the school to purchase books for the students to enjoy during down time, but research shows that students reading greatly improves when they have access to a variety of texts. I desperately need nonfiction books to help build our classroom library.
These books will be available for students to read during silent reading time and to check out from our classroom library and take home. These books are at a variety of reading levels and are all very vibrant. Choice and engaging texts will increase students' desire to read nonfiction.
Your help will ultimately lead to increased accomplishment in reading and enjoyment of reading.
