The music room is such a fun, engaging place to be; however, it can be overwhelming for some. We often play loud instruments, sing loudly, and get to giggling too loud for some students to be able to effectively enjoy their time. While I have a few pairs of headphones for students needing them, it seems more and more of my sweet kiddos need that extra help to calm the noise around them in order to enjoy their music-making time.
With these headphones, students with sensory disorders, special needs, and who just like a quiet environment can experience the joys of music making.
Music-making is meant to be expressive and loud sometimes; however, not everyone can function at that level. Even I need the headphones sometimes when we play instruments such as drums or tambourines! 24 students playing at once is chaotic on small instruments like an egg shaker, so imagine 24 large drums playing at once. Can you hear it through the computer? I sure can!
