Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project will allow my students to garden year round. The weather is unpredictable so it affects our gardening units.
Time in the garden, hands in the dirt, and nurturing plants builds confidence, supports collaboration, and promotes communication.
This greenhouse would be used inside our classroom for both science and a reading station. Students will be able to work on reading fluency, silent reading, partner reading inside the greenhouse with soft lighting and sounds of a fountain! Students will be able to plant, measure, and graph their results. Students will be able to make predictions and confirm their thoughts on grow lights, planting mediums, and soil tests. This project is going to change the landscape of the classroom.
