This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Crochet club is just starting out at our school and it would be so helpful to the students who can’t afford their own supplies to have some to work with. Our goal is to create items that can be donated to animal humane and homeless shelters for those in need of comfort. This goal gives purpose to our creations other than the fun and socialization the kids will gain from working together. I hope to create a safe place for kids to come after school to make crafts, build community, and feel good that their hard work will be useful for someone else.
