Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students come to the library for a place to chill and interact during lunch. The more activities they have to take part in, the better the experience is for everyone involved. Last year they discovered puzzles and their love continues to grow. This year students have taken to games. This is wonderful, but so far they are limited to Uno, Connect Four and a good old fashioned Bicycle deck.

One student is dying to get Monopoly.

Another requested Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (such a good game!). I have a cart full of great games for them to choose from and I can't wait to see them when the haul shows up!

Also included in my cart is a lock box for 12 phones. This will encourage students to come to the library for social interaction and leave with a charged phone.
