This project is all about updating our classroom library with a variety of new and fun picture books!
The best part of first grade is storytime!
My sweet kiddos can definitely be wild and crazy, but every single one of my firsties is calm and collected during story time. Each day, before dismissal, we gather as a class on the rug to read a story together. Unlike reading class, this storytime is solely for the purpose of enjoying a book being read aloud. There is no state standard to follow or lesson plan; instead, I hope to instill a lifelong love of reading.
For this project, we are requesting a variety of new an interesting texts from our favorite authors to add to our collection. These books include Knuffle Bunny, That's Not Funny David, Will the Pigeon Graduate and many more! If you love reading as much as we do, please consider a donation to this class project.
