My Students
I am a third-year teacher at this school. Our students live in a city, and our school is in a small neighborhood that is near the ocean. There is a large immigrant population. In the school, the students get acclimated with the English language and literature about all different kinds of places and topics. They also use different modes to explore different subject matters in all areas.
My students are book-loving, avid readers and enthusiastic learners.
Students in my class are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. With a big English language learner presence, having different tools to manipulate, books, and other materials helps all learners have access to the curriculum.
My Project
The ability for students to have choice and a wide variety when selecting what to read is something magical. Giving students the ability to be exposed to different plots and genres is imperative to their education.
Students get so excited when new books come in and giving them choice is so special in itself.
Many students cannot always make it to their public library so giving them a vast library in the classroom is so important. Letting them look through books by different authors and on different topics is such a special thing that can only be given by having the different books to choose from.
