My Project

I am requesting funds to purchase a projector. I am moving to a different school next year and this school does not have projectors. They only have TVs. This is going to severely limit the activities I can do with my class.

TVs are great, when you are watching TV.

In a classroom where I am constantly trying to connect different devices like iPads, laptops, and document cameras, not so much. Connecting to a TV is a very slow and glitchy process. Try doing that ten different times a day. A lot of student learning time is wasted dealing with bad connections. A projector is a much simpler device that is made to connect to many different devices and can run for hours at a time.

Having a projector would open up a lot of teaching options and interactive, student lessons as well. I could project a chart, graph, math problem, reading passage, etc. onto the whiteboard and mark it up with the students. I could spice things up by projecting a game board and students could use fun magnets as game pieces. I could project a graphic organizer for students or questions for thought, have students write their answers on sticky notes, and then post them up on the board. The possibilities are endless!

Bottom line, we need a projector! Please help this teacher and her students out!
