Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our goal is to transform our U.S. History classroom into a space that fosters inclusivity, comfort, and a love for learning. We believe that a welcoming environment is essential for students to engage in their studies fully. Additionally, we aim to enhance the reading curriculum by providing a range of books that represent diverse perspectives, ensuring that our students develop a well-rounded understanding of U.S. history.
Specifically, the goal is to create a reading/relaxing corner (area, rock, table, bookshelf) where students can complete work.
One issue students identify is that school sometimes feels restrictive and uncomfortable. As a teacher, I agree that a classroom should be comforting yet productive.
