My Project

Hello! My name is Zachary Burns and I’m a school counselor for Northgate School District. Our district’s No Place For Hate Club, which aims to reduce identity-based bullying and promote inclusivity, is hoping to sell hoodies with the logo and a positive message to promote the club and use the profits to fund future projects.

Examples of activities our No Place For Hate Club has facilitated this year are listed below (with pictures!) and we hope to continue building our club so we can reach more students and community members.

We would greatly appreciate your help with funding us in our journey to eradicate hate!

Events and Activities:

-Hosted student and community screenings on of the film Repairing The World: Stories From The Tree Of Life and panel discussions with individuals involved with the Tree Of Life Synagogue

-Participated in multiple conferences aimed at promoting inclusivity, including The Eradicate Hate Global Summit, South Fayette Uncommon Conference, and Woodland Hills Muli-District Student Summit

-Instructed classroom lessons on bullying, hate, bias, and appropriate speech to high school and elementary students

-Presented at quarterly meetings with the Northgate School Board
