My Students

Our band of Mighty Scots are a wonderful group. We are reaching amazing potential through motivation, commitment, and natural talent. Most importantly, we understand that goals can only be surpassed if we musically work together to make great things happen in the program.

These musicians look forward to tackling new and artistic challenges daily.

We prepare our success by doing warm-ups and exercises that improve tone, balance, color, and overall musicianship. These concepts help them create wonderful music and provide tools to creating an aesthetic experience.

My Project

Musicians need instruments and accessories constantly to achieve in the band program. Woodwind accessories (reeds, mouthpieces, etc.) are frequently used and replaced due to the nature of their longevity. Brass players, especially trumpets, are in need of oil to avoid having sticky valves during rehearsals. We are also looking to improve the balance of the band program by adding another instrument that provides a lower sound such as a trombone.

Providing these materials will greatly improve the program's consistency and quality.

The students will also gain a sense of responsibility and respect for the accessories that are given to them. These donations will continue our efforts in making one of the best middle school music programs in the area!
