I have an amazing band of Mighty Scots ranging between sixth and eighth grade. We perform a variety of warm-ups with our instruments. Each warm-up focuses on tone, balance, and blend with themselves and others. Our school has three bands that constantly show growth during every rehearsal. We function under a diverse STEAM magnet school under the Title I Program. Although we have a high percentage of students who come from low-income families, they continue to strive to do their best. A third of our program currently participates in afterschool activities such as sports, clubs, or academic tutoring.
