Kindergarten is such a special group to teach. They are eager to learn and are always looking for a new adventure. This age groups needs to move and be active in the classroom. Flexible seating options will give them the freedom to choose where they would like to learn.
I have always been adventurous when it comes trying new things in my classroom and I would love to try flexible seating and seating options for my students this coming school year.
My Project
No More Wiggles: Who likes sitting in a chair at a desk all day? Not five- year-old students. My students need The Surf Portable Lap Desk, Balance Ball Chair - Flexible School Chair, and bouncy bands and Fluorescent Light Filters to help with the wiggles. The use of lap desk and wobble balls will give students more movement options.
Having flexible seating options give students the opportunity to choose where they sit.
Some students prefer to lay on the floor or sit in a bean bag. Others would like to use a desk. It is all about options and what promotes the best learning environment for the student.
Some items that would promote a happy learning environment would be the lap desk, bouncy bands, and wobble balls.
