This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine learning but not having anything that connects with how you learn and view the world. Teaching in the 21st century requires a high need of technology tools to get learning across. I feel that making connections with my students is a valuable trail to the path of learning!
I am a teacher at a Title 1 school where 98% of the students receive free or reduced lunch.
My school is also an International Baccalaureate school. We encourage our students to be a lifelong learner by inquiring about the world around them. Each student takes responsible for their own learning by evaluating, asking questions, and expressing themselves.
My Project
By having the document camera and projector in my classroom it will complement our curriculum and learning goals. It will bring literacy, math, science, and social studies alive! My students will be able to connect to the world around them. The document camera will allow me to conduct fluency lessons, read a loud, and model the use of hands-on manipulative. The projector will allow me to connect my computer so that the student can view pictures and video. This will greatly assist with my ESL students who are new to the United States.
This project will make a difference in the way my students learn.
Technology is a huge component in today's classroom and currently it in unfortunate that my students do not have access to such tools that will help them achieve their learning goals.
