My students need time timers to help them stay on track!

My Students
I work with eight energetic kids ages six to ten. All of my students have severe cognitive and physical disabilities. They face daily challenges that most of us can hardly imagine. These students come from low income families who struggle to support their many needs. All of them qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
Our school specializes in students with disabilities, but even we struggle to meet the ever-changing needs of our students.
Our students require adaptive equipment to complete even the most basic tasks.
I love what I do. Each day is a gift to me, and the other staff in my classroom. Without your gifts, we would not be able to succeed!
My Project
My students rely on visual supports to help them navigate our schedule each day. We stick to regular routine, but my students often struggle to manage the time it takes to complete each activity. They have short attention spans, and need help to remain on task.
Time timers are a great visual reminder for my students.
The large color display and audible reminder will help my students remain focused on their task. They will know exactly how long they have to complete an activity, and when they are permitted to take a break. The timers will also help the many adults in my classroom follow our daily schedule.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
