This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students come from low-income, inner-city homes. We are a Title I school, and 92% of the students receive free or reduced rates for textbooks and meals. Two-thirds of our students arrive at school by bus. They do not have many extras at home - not even a car to get to and from school when there is an emergency.
My students are sweet, respectful, responsible, happy and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classrooms.
My students come to school daily ready to learn.
My Project
I am requesting the no-spill water pots to help prevent spills. My students love to paint in art class. They are all very talented young artists. I enjoy letting my students paint and watching them make their own masterpieces.
My students need the no-spill water pots to keep the water from spilling onto their paintings.
My students have been using small plastic cups to hold the water when they paint. The cups tip often and the water runs across their artwork.
My students are great at helping clean up their water. The no-spill water pots will improve help keep my student's painting rather than cleaning water spills. The water pots will be used by students for years to come.
