My classroom is filled with an array of diversity. We are the epitome of a 'melting pot' school. Our class is made up of a variety of different types of learners who love to read.
The eagerness to learn is truly something spectacular to be a part of.
Each special child brings something unique from their culture to our Queens community and I am lucky to be a part of it. It is like winning the lottery to help educate these young minds.
My Project
It would be absolutely amazing for my fourth graders to have a place to sit with me while meeting for small group instruction. The bigger the student, the more uncomfortable it is to sit on the floor. My students are constantly complaining of their back and legs "hurting" instead of focusing on what it is that is being taught. Sitting at a table on chairs will make a huge impact on my students being able to concentrate and learn. They will be so excited to sit with the teacher and some fellow classmates at the same table! It will be a special place to learn!
